Is Lab Manager Academy an online platform for courses?

Yes, Lab Manager Academy is an online platform offering virtual courses that can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.

Can I take Lab Manager Academy courses at my own convenience?

Absolutely! Lab Manager Academy allows learners to take courses at their own convenience. The courses are self-paced, allowing you to start and stop as you please.

How long does it typically take to complete a course at Lab Manager Academy?

Each course at Lab Manager Academy typically takes approximately 60 minutes to complete. This duration applies to each individual course, ensuring focused and efficient learning experiences.

Do I have to complete a course in one sitting, or can I pause and resume later?

You don’t have to complete a course in one sitting. Lab Manager Academy allows you to pause and resume your progress whenever you need to, ensuring flexibility in your learning experience.

If I purchase individual stream credentials, will I still receive the full certificate upon completing all of related stream credentials?

Yes, you can choose to purchase stream credentials individually. As you complete the necessary prerequisites for a full certificate, that program will automatically be added to your account for you to receive an official certificate for your achievement.

Can I get help from the instructor if I have questions or need clarification on the content as I’m working through courses?

Absolutely you can—we’re committed to your success! Once a month, Lab Manager Academy instructor Scott Hanton will host an open Zoom meeting to answer questions and concerns to make sure you get the most out of your eLearning experience. This is an optional feature for those interested, at no additional cost.

How long is my account active?

At this time, our expectation is that users access the system at least every 45 days. If an account is dormant for longer than 45 days, it will be marked inactive. Accounts can be reactivated by completing the form below or by emailing us at academy@labmanager.com.

How long can I access the courses I’ve purchased?

Individuals currently have unlimited access to the courses they’ve purchased. Learners can come back into the system and review courses, and have access to any updates made to courses since they took them last.

Are subscriptions available for groups, organizations, or companies?

Yes, annual subscription packages are available for different size organizations. This enables colleagues to learn together. Currently, all subscriptions are on an annual basis. The subscription would need to be renewed to provide access beyond 12months. Please see our Corporate Solutions page for more information and to reach out to our Training Advisor.

What type of payment do you accept?

The Stripe payment processor accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, and JCB payments from customers worldwide, Apple Pay, Google Pay, AliPay, and WeChat Pay.

Changes to individual course purchases

Why can I no longer purchase individual courses from Lab Manager Academy?

To better support your learning journey and provide more meaningful skill development, Lab Manager Academy is transitioning to offering only stream credentials and full certificate programs. These options ensure a more cohesive, comprehensive learning experience with stronger outcomes for lab managers and their teams.

What if I only want to take one or two specific topics?

While individual courses will no longer be sold separately, our stream credentials are carefully designed bundles of 4–5 courses focused on a specific skill area, giving you targeted expertise without having to commit to the full certificate. I already purchased an individual course. Will I still have access to it?

Yes! If you have already purchased an individual course, you will continue to have access to that course for the remainder of your enrollment period. No additional action is needed.

Can I still get a certificate of completion for an individual course I previously purchased?

Absolutely. If you successfully complete an individual course you have already purchased, you will still receive a certificate of completion for that course.

How do I choose the right stream or certificate for me?

Will this change affect corporate training options?

No—in fact, our corporate training solutions are now even easier to scale with stream credentials and certificates. You can license an entire stream or certificate program for your team with options for tracking, reporting, and group discounts.
