What is this stream credential about?

    • Adaptive Leadership Styles: Effective lab leadership requires flexibility. This course explores multiple leadership styles, helping lab managers identify their natural approach and develop the ability to adapt their style based on the situation, team needs, or specific challenges. Learn how to lead with self-awareness, balance influence and direction, and build a team culture that supports both productivity and innovation.
    • Business Continuity Planning: Labs must be prepared to continue critical functions during disruptions. This course teaches lab managers how to build practical business continuity plans that protect operations, align with regulatory expectations, and ensure the lab can continue delivering value to stakeholders—no matter the obstacle.
    • Motivation and Engagement in the Lab: Motivating a lab team is both essential and complex. This course explores what truly drives engagement, including autonomy, mastery, and purpose. Lab managers will learn how to create an environment that sustains motivation, fosters personal growth, and prevents burnout—so their team remains productive and committed.
    • Lab Errors and Root Cause Analysis: Mistakes happen—but how your lab responds matters. This course provides a framework for addressing lab errors through root cause analysis, covering human, technical, and process-based issues. Lab managers will learn practical tools to identify the source of problems, correct them, and implement lasting improvements.
    • Giving and Receiving Feedback Effectively: Growth starts with listening—and continues with sharing. In this course, lab managers will develop the skills to both give and receive feedback with openness and professionalism. Through strategies to manage emotional reactions, deliver constructive feedback, and apply active listening techniques, learners will build trust, foster accountability, and create a feedback-friendly lab culture.
